The nationwide campaign "16 Days Against Violence" concluded in Odesa, running annually from November 25 to December 10.

The aim of this campaign was to raise public awareness of the pressing issues surrounding domestic violence and gender-based violence, while promoting equal rights and opportunities for all in Odesa.

Various structural units of the Executive Committee, Odesa City Council members, and the National Police actively participated in organizing the events, along with students from the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs and members of the Youth Council.

The official opening of the campaign took place on November 25 in the City Garden under the slogan "Music for Equality".

The highlights of the event were musical performances and poetry recitals by students from the National Music Academy, along with contributions from the Parliament of High School Students. There was also an exhibition of children's drawings from the charity organization "Family".

Representatives from the charity fund "Path to Home" presented flowers to women as a symbol of resistance against violence.

Educational sessions, workshops, interactive games, and competitions were organized for students to enhance their understanding of violence issues.

The Child Welfare Service conducted various informational activities, including flash mobs, discussions, and video screenings.

Additionally, district administrations, together with the Center for Social Services, hosted events on city squares and parks discussing domestic violence, distributing informational materials and offering counseling services.

As part of the campaign, there were also events like the "Red Shoes" initiative for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, an interactive game in schools, a photo exhibition titled "Angels of Goodness", and a discussion platform on human rights.

An anonymous survey was conducted to assess public awareness regarding domestic violence at the Integrated Services Center.

The activities were conducted in accordance with the mayor's order from 20.11.2024 No. 853.
