The CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman, believes that artificial intelligence could lead to job losses in areas like phone and online support.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson, he stated that AI also enhances opportunities for programmers, potentially increasing their salaries.

Altman emphasized that there are professions where human interaction remains crucial, such as in nursing.

He added that the demand for software exceeds the market's ability to provide it, which may lead to shifts in the job landscape. He noted that the disappearance of certain jobs will be accompanied by the emergence of new ones.

During their conversation, they also touched on topics like religion, ethics, privacy, and military uses of ChatGPT. Altman compared AI to dual-use tools and stressed the importance of understanding the consequences of their use.

OpenAI recently conducted a study showing an increase in ChatGPT usage among both women and men, as well as its applications for everyday tasks.

Key findings from the study indicate that by June 2025, the proportion of non-work-related messages rose to 73%. The majority of conversations with ChatGPT fall into three main categories: practical advice, information search, and writing.
