Defenders of Ukraine can now have priority in choosing the date and time for their marriage registration through the "Diia" application.

This information is reported by the portal's press service.

"Due to the high demand for marriage registrations through "Diia", a priority booking system for defenders has been launched for online marriage registration", the statement says.

For those serving in the Defense Forces who wish to marry online, you need to:

open the Army+ app;

navigate to Services;

select Online Marriage.

You will then be directed to "Diia", where the system will show available dates considering the priority and ensure a separate appointment for online marriage registration. Next, fill out the application, choose whether to change your surname after marriage, specify where to send the marriage certificate, and confirm everything with Diia.Signature.

"On the day of the marriage registration, click the link in "Diia" for the online ceremony, where a representative of the Digital Registry Office will be waiting for you. The marriage process takes up to 30 minutes. All you need is a smartphone and internet access", they stated in "Diia".

It is noted that more than 4,000 couples have officially married online, about 19,000 applications have been submitted, and over 2 million proposals have been made through "Diia".
