A man in Odessa is facing trial for spying on air defense systems and the "Lut" assault brigade. He is accused of treason.

This was reported by the Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Authorities have established that the defendant voluntarily collaborated with a Russian military intelligence officer, collecting information on the locations of temporary bases of the National Police's "Lut" assault brigade and the deployment sites of mobile air defense fire groups in Odessa.

"The informant transmitted materials containing geographical coordinates via drafts in email services, enabling the enemy to adjust their missile strikes and drone attacks.

The Odessa resident was detained at the end of August 2024 while carrying out another task. He is awaiting trial in custody," the message states.
