From April 9 to 13, the IV stage of the National Olympiad in History took place in Lutsk, with over 140 students participating from all regions of Ukraine.
The event was officially opened at the Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art of the Korsak family.
The competition consisted of two rounds: theoretical and practical.
Based on the results of the Olympiad, 11th-grade student Artem Pastoshchuk from Odesa Lyceum No. 9 emerged as the absolute winner of the National History Olympiad (history teacher - Sidenko Alina).
Artem's path to this coveted victory spanned four years. In 2022, he secured first place in the regional stage of the history Olympiad and was set to attend a training camp, but the full-scale invasion disrupted those plans.
A week prior, Artem participated in the IV stage of the National Olympiad in Geography, where he earned a Second Degree Diploma.
Throughout 2023 and 2024, Artem has been involved in subject Olympiads and intellectual competitions, achieving a record number of prize-winning places at various levels.
Additionally, Artem Pastoshchuk is a Presidential Scholar and a scholarship holder from the Mayor of Odesa.
