Today, June 5, an online meeting took place in Odesa, chaired by the Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine, Oleksii Kuleba, and the Deputy Minister for Community Development, Nataliia Kozlovska.
Participants included representatives from the Odesa City Council, notably: First Deputy Mayor Oleksandr Filatov, advisor to the mayor on barrier-free spaces Oleksii Morozov, and heads of relevant departments.
During the dialogue, the parties discussed the implementation of the project «Movement Without Barriers» and the status of works on the inclusive tram route «North-South».
Participants focused on the technical aspects of the route's implementation, including the marking of specific sections and the action plan.
Currently, Odesa is actively marking the inclusive tram route «North-South». Recently, representatives of the project from Kyiv visited the city to review the route plan. Following the inspection, an action plan was approved.
The «Movement Without Barriers» project is part of the National Strategy for creating a barrier-free space in Ukraine, which Odesa is actively contributing to.
The initiative for the inclusive tram route «North-South» was proposed by the Odesa City Council, approved by the Ministry of Community Development, and aligns with the goals of the National Strategy.
Coordination of the project's implementation at the local level is managed by the Odesa Barrier-Free Council.
