Odessa has joined the Ukrainian delegation at the UITP 2025 international summit in Hamburg. This event brought together representatives from major European and international institutions supporting the restoration of Ukraine's transport infrastructure.
Officials from the city participated in various meetings with the European Commission, European Investment Bank, World Bank, EBRD, IFC, UITP, and municipal representatives from EU countries. Discussions focused on transport modernization programs, financing opportunities, international support, humanitarian initiatives, sustainable development projects, and post-war recovery plans.
Preliminary conditions have been established for securing funding for the procurement of transport, infrastructure modernization, and digital solutions, including the implementation of a unified ticketing system.
Odessa's participation in such international events is not only about supporting our partners but also about taking concrete steps towards a renewed sustainable transport system in the city.
