Odesa is currently marking a new accessibility route.
The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy has unveiled an official design for communications in the implementation of the National Strategy for creating an accessible environment by 2030.
This design includes:
- a unique logo;
- established rules for the use of fonts and colors;
- a visual system,
- centered on six areas of accessibility:
- physical,
- informational,
- educational,
- digital,
- civic,
- economic.
Each area is represented as a distinct point in the logo. Together, they form a circle — a symbol of unity, inclusion, and equal space for all, regardless of their characteristics.
This logo is currently being used for the marking of the accessibility route in Odesa.
This is a crucial part of a larger effort initiated by the Mayor of Odesa, Hennadii Trukhanov, under the pilot project «Movement Without Barriers». The marking is being carried out by expert groups from the Council for Accessibility with the participation of people with disabilities, urban planners, and accessibility specialists.
