Today, December 5, 2024, Odessa hosted a conference titled «Tourism for All».

The main goal of the event was to unite the efforts of the city authorities and businesses to improve accessibility in the tourism sector.

This topic is incredibly relevant as the National Tourism Organization of Ukraine has identified it as a priority for 2024.

Despite the challenging conditions of wartime, Odessa continues to welcome tourists, making it essential to ensure access to infrastructure and inclusive opportunities in tourism.

The conference brought together people with disabilities, government representatives, and businesses to discuss the accessibility of cultural, tourist, and hospitality facilities. Medical tourism was also a topic of discussion.

«We are creating conditions under which every resident and guest of the city can move freely and receive necessary services. All facilities, including hotels, restaurants, museums, and theaters, must be adapted for people with disabilities,» emphasized Mayor Gennady Trukhanov.

Moreover, participants discussed the current state of affairs, future plans, grant programs, and the involvement of businesses in developing a barrier-free environment in Odessa.
