A new inclusive beach has been launched at the 11th station of the Great Fountain in Odessa, meeting modern standards for accessibility and ecological safety.
The official opening of this municipal beach, which received the «AES Standard» certificate, took place on July 1st.
The beach's renovation exemplifies inclusive architecture. Thanks to the efforts of the city administration and partners, the project was implemented swiftly.
The beach features special ramps, modern restrooms, and showers for individuals with disabilities. There is also a medical station and a shelter available. Following its renovation, the inclusive beach offers convenient pathways verified by experts for accessibility.
Present at the opening were veterans, individuals with disabilities, families with children, and elderly citizens.
«Residents can see today that the new beach was created with care and concern for everyone. We continue to work systematically to improve accessibility and develop barrier-free environments along the coastline,» emphasized the Mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov.
Recently, an inclusive multisport playground was also opened at the «Dolphin» beach.
