The National Police of Ukraine has executed a comprehensive operation to uncover a criminal group involved in the illegal drug trade and the laundering of illicit profits. The offenders organized the distribution of precursors for amphetamine production, selling them through a network of 18 drug laboratories across several regions. Each month, they manufactured and distributed over 60 kg of amphetamine, generating profits of 18 million hryvnias.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Department of the National Police.

Law enforcement discovered that the group's leader was responsible for the continuous supply of raw materials. His subordinates packaged several kilograms of narcotics daily in rented apartments, which they constantly changed. The precursors were then shipped to drug labs via mail or through "drops," using disposable SIM cards.

Additionally, police identified a group of individuals engaged in legalizing the profits in the capital. They sought people willing to provide their data to open bank accounts, which received millions of hryvnias from drug sales. As a result, they attracted over a thousand shell individuals, from whose accounts more than 200 million hryvnias were withdrawn to cryptocurrency wallets.

To neutralize the drug cartel, over 300 police officers from several regions were involved, acting within a joint operation with other law enforcement agencies.

During the operation, more than a hundred searches were conducted, leading to the seizure of luxury vehicles, significant amounts of cash in various currencies, and narcotic substances.

Law enforcement gathered enough evidence and charged sixteen members of the criminal organization, who face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of assets.
