Last week, Mr. Ozgur Tonguc Chukhali, the Ambassador of the Odessa Golf Club in Turkey, visited Odessa. He previously had strong ties to the city, representing the Ukrainian-Turkish Business Association and participating in the renovation of the 'Sonechko' specialized children's psychiatric home.
During this year's visit, he toured the 'Sonechko' children's home where he interacted with the kids and medical staff, and also visited Library No. 21, taking part in a golf workshop.
Hanna Lunova, acting head of the maternal and child health department, noted that Mr. Ozgur assured continued cooperation and sponsorship support from the sister city of Istanbul.
On February 17, the Odessa Golf Club held a workshop at Library No. 21 for students from Lyceum No. 81, featuring Mr. Chukhali. The children learned golf techniques, hit their first balls, and received prizes.
The Ambassador also spoke about the activities of golf clubs in Turkey and children's programs in schools and libraries.
As part of the visit, a collaboration was outlined between Bodrum and Odessa to promote Olympic sports, particularly golf.
