On July 9, 2025, in Odesa, patrol officers Mykola Morozov and Serhii Onufran received a distress call about an injured dog lying on Lvivska Street.
Upon arrival, they discovered that the animal had serious injuries, likely from gunfire.
With the help of the reporting citizen, volunteers, and the director of the Odesa Zoo, they were able to transport the injured dog to a veterinary clinic safely.
The dog is currently under medical supervision, and its condition is stable.
Investigators have initiated a criminal case under Part 1, Article 299 (Cruelty to Animals) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
