Restoration efforts at the building on Sofiivska Street are ongoing. The installation of the reinforcement belt for wall connections has been completed, along with roofing over the most damaged section of the structure. A small part of the roof still needs to be repaired.
Today, October 31, 2024, Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov met with residents to discuss pressing issues. Among the top priorities are: constructing a ceiling between the new roof and the apartments, restoring windows and the heating system, as well as repairing the staircase in one of the entrances.
The mayor noted that partnerships with charitable and public organizations supplying building materials enable emergency works to be carried out more quickly, expressing hope for continued collaboration. Budgetary procedures take a significant amount of time, especially since the building is an architectural landmark.
The mayor thanked the "Morning of Revival" Charity Fund, the "April Tenth" NGO, and UNHCR for their ongoing support and provision of construction materials.
Emergency works at the building on Sofiivska Street are being conducted by the "JCS Porto-Franківsk" with the support and coordination of the Odesa Mayor's advisor on humanitarian issues, Veronika Etnarovich.
