The first baby born in Odessa on this year's City Day was a little girl.

The newborn weighs 3 kilograms and 500 grams and measures 52 cm in height. Ksenia is the second child in the family. Both mother and daughter are doing well.
Odessa has a lovely tradition of bringing gifts to the maternity hospital where the first baby of City Day is born.
Thus, the mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, congratulated the first newborn and all the new parents on the birthday of Odessa.
“I congratulate all newborns and families who welcomed a child on our city’s Day. May the children grow up healthy and happy in a free Ukraine,” said Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov.
On September 2, a total of 19 children were born in Odessa - 12 girls and 7 boys.
