On October 29, in honor of World Stroke Day, a Stroke Prevention and Early Detection Day was organized in Odesa. The event was supported by the Health Department of the Odesa City Council and the Odesa City Health Center.

On this day, everyone had the opportunity to undergo free medical check-ups, including measuring blood pressure, pulse rate, blood glucose levels, ECGs, and obtaining referrals for laboratory tests as well as consultations with specialists. Doctors provided patients with advice on stroke prevention.

As a result of the event, a total of 1,735 individuals underwent preventive examinations. This allowed for the identification of 294 cases of high blood pressure and 102 cases of elevated blood glucose levels. A total of 867 ECG tests were conducted, of which 136 patients were referred to a cardiologist. 895 patients were directed for laboratory tests.
