In Odessa, the Municipal Enterprise «City Roads» oversees 1012 public transport stops, including 7 historic «Belgian stops» that are over a century old.
Daily, acts of vandalism occur at these stops: graffiti is left, benches are broken, and trash bins are uprooted along with the concrete. Additionally, stops are damaged due to traffic accidents and hostile attacks.
Experts from the enterprise regularly perform sanitary cleaning of the surrounding area, repair benches, bins, and pavilions, as well as washing and painting them.
This month, the municipal workers restored a century-old Belgian stop on 15th St. Fontanska Road, which is frequently vandalized.
Since the beginning of 2025, 80 public transport stops have been painted and 99 bins have been repaired and installed.
The Odessa City Hall once again urges residents and visitors to take care of municipal property, as intentional damage and destruction of city property lead to criminal liability.
