On August 24, as we celebrate Ukraine's Independence Day, a massive national flag measuring 34 meters was raised in Odesa.
Each meter of this fabric represents a year of our independence. It symbolizes our achievements and challenges, our journey through tumultuous times towards unity, dignity, and strength.
Thanks to the courage of Ukrainian defenders, our flag now flies high, making the world aware of a strong and unyielding Ukraine. Their resilience allows us to celebrate, live, and dream.
This is why today Odesa proudly holds the blue and yellow flag as a symbol of freedom, gratitude, and hope. It waves above the sea, in the streets, and in our hearts. Every gust of wind that unfurls this fabric over the city reminds us: we have endured, we exist, and we will prevail!
