A significant renovation has commenced for a nine-story residential building located at 134 Prince Volodymyr the Great Avenue (Dobrovolskyi) in Odesa, which was damaged in a kamikaze drone attack in March 2024.
The contractor is tasked with dismantling the damaged structures, removing debris, restoring walls, ceilings, the roof, drainage systems, and improving the surrounding area.
Initial emergency measures to reinforce existing parts of the building have already been completed.
As of today, the strengthening and securing of concrete elements that remain for future use have been accomplished. Specifically, the building’s wall has been stabilized and anchored to the ceiling slabs.
The completion of the major renovation is scheduled for December 31, 2026.
It should be noted that during an extraordinary meeting of the Odessa City Council in March 2024, a decision was made to demolish 18 apartments in this building deemed uninhabitable.
