Since the beginning of 2025, the municipal enterprise «Miskzelentrest» has removed 958 hazardous and dead trees and uprooted over 800 tree stumps.
The work was carried out in response to citizen requests, due to adverse weather conditions, or as part of urban improvement programs.
This autumn, the planting of around 1,000 young trees is planned, including ashes, sophoras, lindens, maples, and others. Most of the new trees will be planted in the locations of the removed ones. All trees are of significant size and suited for the urban environment.
Uprooting stumps is a complex task. Until this year, the municipal workers lacked specialized equipment for stump removal, significantly complicating and prolonging the process. Currently, the work is performed using new machinery — the Rotor Speedy 80/100 stump grinder and the KATA KF1404 tractor with 140 horsepower, designed for timely and quality stump removal.
With the new equipment, the landscapers greatly reduce the time required for these physically demanding tasks through mechanization: previously, manual stump removal was expected to take 12 hours, but now the entire process of removing a 70 cm diameter stump takes only 40 minutes.
