The city of Odesa has received a new shipment of vehicles from Japan, including 10 tank trucks and a cargo truck.
Six of the tank trucks have been handed over to the municipal enterprise «Miskzelentrust» for effective operational management, while four tank trucks and the cargo truck have been allocated to the municipal enterprise «City Roads», responsible for maintaining the order on city streets and stops. During the war, this enterprise has been actively working with the housing and communal services to mitigate the effects of attacks.

Additionally, these tank trucks will be used for water delivery as needed. For instance, Odesa's municipal workers transported water to the neighboring Mykolaiv when the city was without water for several months. They also supplied water to the State Emergency Service for tackling large-scale fires in the ecosystem.

After attacks on the energy system, when Odesa faced power outages and lack of water and heating, tank trucks were employed to deliver water to areas without public fountains.

«I would like to express my gratitude to our Japanese friends for their incredible support. I wish health, happiness, and prosperity to Japan! May 2025 bring new opportunities for our cooperation and joint projects, and I hope we will restore and develop Odesa together!» - said the Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
