The heating season in Odesa will soon commence. The utility company «Housing and Communal Services» is finalizing the preparations for the internal centralized heating systems.
Right after the last heating season ended in spring 2024, the staff at «Housing and Communal Services» began the preparations for the upcoming 2024-2025 heating season.
As part of the preparations, specialists are conducting repair and preventive work on heat utilization equipment and internal heating systems, checking and calibrating energy accounting devices, and addressing any issues found in hydraulic and thermal operations.
The employees of the utility company are also performing flushing of the equipment, heating installations, pipelines, and heat consumption systems, restoring thermal insulation, and checking the sealing of engineering inputs.
Hydraulic tests of the centralized heating systems have been carried out, consumption systems have been adjusted, and several other necessary tasks have been completed to ensure uninterrupted operation in residential buildings.
After completing the repair and preventive work, the heating systems will be filled with chemically purified water at a pressure exceeding static by 0.5 kg/cm², and the inlet valves will be closed.
With the onset of the heating season, the plumbers from the housing services will sequentially open the valves in the buildings, which usually takes some time, after which heat will start flowing into the residents' homes.
