On October 31, 2024, a city council meeting was held in Odessa addressing issues related to displaced persons.
The meeting focused on the development of small and medium enterprises among internally displaced individuals.
Future entrepreneurs received information about:
- the process of registering legal entities and individual entrepreneurs: key principles, required documents, and recommendations;
- taxation systems for business: options for small and micro businesses;
- lending programs from the bank "Ukreximbank";
- lending programs from the bank "Oschadbank";
- restoration and expansion opportunities through market access and sustainable economic transformations from the Charity Fund "Caritas Odessa UGCC";
- support for entrepreneurs in establishing and developing their businesses;
- support programs for business entities in the city of Odessa.
After the meeting, participants engaged with service providers who informed them about grant opportunities, compensation for employing displaced persons, and provided contacts for future profitable business promotion.
Participants included representatives from the Department of Labor and Social Policy, the Department of Economic Development, the State Registration Department of the Odessa City Council, the Main Office of the State Tax Service in Odessa Region, the Odessa branch of the Regional Employment Center, Ukreximbank, Oschadbank, the Entrepreneurship Support Center Diia. Business in Odessa, the Charity Fund "Caritas Odessa UGCC", as well as internally displaced persons.
