A round table was held in Odesa on the topic: “Enhancing Business Conditions for Young Veterans and IDPs”. The event was attended by representatives of the veterans community, local authorities, employment centers, and human rights experts.
The main discussion topics focused on employment and the development of veteran businesses. It was noted that support could come not only from the state level but also through local initiatives.
Successes of projects supporting veterans were discussed. Through hackathons and training sessions, over 50 veterans received financial support and assistance in implementing their business ideas. These initiatives were carried out with the financial backing of the EU and NGOs such as “Time for Action”, “Smart Media”, “Ukrainian Veterans”, and “SOS Ukraine”.
The Odesa region is actively working on creating new support programs, attracting international resources and partners to foster veteran business development.
Improving conditions for veterans and IDPs is an investment in Ukraine's future.
