His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius visited Odesa to provide spiritual support and address the needs of the country's defenders.
In Odesa, he, accompanied by Archbishop Afanasiy, visited hospitals where wounded Ukrainian defenders are receiving care.
During the visit, a meeting was held with local leaders, military officials, and community representatives to discuss essential support and development issues in the region.
Oleg Radkovskyi, the first deputy head of the regional council, presented the Metropolitan with an award recognizing his contributions to the spiritual support of the people.
«Your presence in these challenging times is crucial for the residents of Odesa. The church and prayer serve as vital support for our soldiers defending the nation», – Radkovskyi stated.
During the ceremony, Metropolitan Epiphanius awarded distinctions for contributions to Ukraine's spiritual revival to representatives of the government and the military.
In his speech, he emphasized the importance of spiritual security for Ukraine, discussing the challenges facing society and the role of the Church in these circumstances.
Among those recognized were Oleg Radkovskyi and Deputy Andriy Babenko.
