In the Odessa region, the memory of Captain Vladislav Ilchuk was honored, who gave his life in the combat zone on February 22, 2025. The Bolgrad City Council emphasized that he stood up to defend Ukraine from the very first days of the full-scale invasion.

Today, March 2, in the village of Tabaky, a farewell was held for the commander of the mechanized battalion, Vladislav Ilchuk. Before the war, he lived in Bakhmut with his family, but due to the fighting, his family had to leave their hometown.

"After fierce battles in Bakhmut, the officer's family had to leave their hometown and move to the Bolgrad community. Here they tried to start a new life, hoping for peace and the return of their Hero. However, the enemy shattered these hopes, leaving the family without a husband, son, and father.

The body of the fallen defender was carried through a living corridor formed by community members to honor Vladislav's bravery. At the cemetery, where he found eternal rest beside other fallen warriors, the widow was presented with the state flag of Ukraine as a symbol of gratitude and memory," the Bolgrad community noted.
