Law enforcement has seized dangerous items and charged a suspect, who faces a lengthy prison sentence.
Police officials documented how a 33-year-old man sold ammunition to an acquaintance on two occasions. Initially, he sold 50 rounds of rifle ammunition, followed by three grenade bodies and their fuses.
With the involvement of bomb disposal experts, the dangerous items were confiscated and sent for examination. Their classification as military supplies was confirmed by experts.
Investigators detained the suspect and, based on the evidence gathered, charged him with illegal acquisition, possession, and sale of ammunition without the required legal authorization. This crime falls under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and is punishable by up to seven years in prison.
The court has chosen to keep the suspect in custody with the option for bail set at 60,560 UAH, which he has utilized.
Authorities will investigate the source of the ammunition in the course of the pre-trial investigation.
The investigation is ongoing under the procedural guidance of the Primorsky District Prosecutor's Office in Odessa.
