At the beach near the 16th station of the Big Fountain, medical personnel were called to save a 14-year-old girl who was unconscious and in critical condition after drowning. The road was blocked by parked cars, delaying the arrival of the ambulance. This was reported by the Odessa Regional Center for Emergency Medical Assistance and Disaster Medicine.
Fortunately, another medic present at the beach began performing CPR while the ambulance team navigated through the traffic.
After stabilizing the girl’s condition, she urgently needed to be transported to the intensive care unit, but the route back faced similar blockages.
The Odessa emergency medical center emphasizes that such incidents are a systemic issue. Medics urge drivers not to obstruct access, especially near beaches and recreational areas.
“Please, think about emergency medical assistance and imagine for a moment that your loved ones could be in that vehicle: a husband, wife, child,” noted emergency physician Elizabeth Churilova.
