The Ukrainian National Shooting Championship for athletes born in 2002 and younger took place in Vinnytsia from August 10 to 17.
The team from the Odessa region included young athletes from the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 3 and the regional shooting sports school.
In the men’s prone .22 rifle shooting at a distance of 50 meters, the champion was Ivan Tkalenko (regional shooting school), while Ilya Ananyev (Children's Sports School No. 3) took home the bronze.
In the MG-5 event (shooting from three positions), Ivan Tkalenko won a silver medal, and the team consisting of Ivan Tkalenko, Daniil Ananyev, and Yegor Mozusenko earned bronze medals.
In the women’s category for prone shooting at a distance of 50 meters, the Odessa team, including Ksenia Gerasimova (Children's Sports School No. 3), Olga Rudik, and Ekaterina Nikonенко (regional shooting school), also won bronze medals.
The athletes were coached by trainers Olga Chikalova (Children's Sports School No. 3) and Svitlana Skachko (regional shooting school).
