A dangerous game called "Red Doors, Yellow Doors" is gaining traction among youth on social media. This game can lead to serious health issues for students.
Experts from the National Social Service of Ukraine warn about the risks associated with this game, highlighting potential consequences for physical and mental well-being.
During the game, children attempt to induce a trance-like state in one another through relaxation and visualization techniques. As a result, a child may perceive imaginary rooms described by others.
Experts emphasize that such activities can adversely affect physical health, leading to headaches, dizziness, and other serious issues.
Additionally, these practices can raise intracranial pressure, which may pose significant risks, especially for children with congenital conditions.
The National Social Service has also noted that the game can induce anxiety and disorientation in children, sometimes resulting in panic attacks and psychosis.
Possible outcomes include nightmares and distorted perceptions of reality.
Furthermore, these dangerous trends may carry social and behavioral risks, such as:
- isolation;
- irritability;
- anxiety;
- engaging in dangerous or criminal behavior.
Parents should be aware that aggressor countries may exploit these games to recruit children for real crimes, such as arson or planting explosives.
What should parents do if they notice their children engaging in dangerous activities?
It is recommended that parents build trusting relationships with their children to identify dangerous trends early. They should calmly discuss the game with their child, asking what interests them and listening without judgment.
Then, it is crucial to explain the potential risks of such games, including their impact on mental health and possible involvement in criminal activities.
Parents should be attentive to emotional behaviors. If a child becomes withdrawn or anxious after discussions, or experiences nightmares, it is advisable to consult a psychologist.
This year, a dangerous challenge regarding homemade firecrackers circulated on social media. As a result, three children were hospitalized in Lviv due to attempts to create pyrotechnics.
