The Odesa region is at the forefront of grape production in Ukraine, with 58% of this crop being cultivated in our area. Despite the ongoing war, the agricultural sector is witnessing significant growth.

Odesa Leads
In addition to grape cultivation, Odesa also leads in the number of sheep and goats, with 28% of these animals residing in our region. We are also first in barley production, contributing 18% of the total in Ukraine. The figures for wheat and rapeseed are also solid, each at 11%.
Growth Despite Challenges
In spite of the difficult economic situation, Odesa has achieved substantial growth in crop cultivation and sheep farming over three years of war, amounting to +8.6%. Meanwhile, some regions are experiencing decline in these sectors. For instance, Mykolaiv has a rate of -16.8%, Sumy -14.9%, and Chernihiv -6.7%. The highest growth was recorded in Kyiv region (+23.2%).
