Students from Odesa Lyceum No. 90, guided by their German teacher Karina Beigelzimer, have joined an international youth project titled «Actionbound – Environmental Values in My City» at the invitation of the Institute for Virtual and Real Adult Learning in Ulm (ILEU e.V.).
The project brought together teenagers from Ukraine, Germany, and Bulgaria to explore the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Since winter, participants have been working online, investigating local initiatives in Odesa, Ulm, and Sofia, analyzing how global goals are implemented locally, and brainstorming positive change ideas for their cities.
The most active participants had the opportunity to meet in person in Ulm, where they experienced a week filled with incredible events, inspiration, new friendships, and European dialogue.
Staying with host families, meeting the mayor, strolling through historic streets, attending media technology workshops, discussing the future of Europe, and presenting their research became part of a shared narrative.
This journey is about trust, support, dialogue, new horizons, and about the Europe we are building together — from Odesa to Ulm.
