Odessa's Mayor Gennady Trukhanov expressed his commitment to helping residents of the damaged building: "We will do everything possible to ensure people return home as soon as possible."
During an on-site meeting, the mayor spoke with residents of the building on Yaroslav the Wise Avenue, which was hit by an enemy drone strike on the night of May 1.
According to assessments by experts and the city's Technogenic-Ecological Safety and Emergency Situations Commission (TESC), the building has been declared emergency and requires temporary relocation for repair works. Residents have been offered the municipal housing rental compensation program.
«An extraordinary session of the Odessa City Council is scheduled for May 13, where council members will decide on the funding amount for stabilizing the building. The technical report will be reviewed by the regional TESC. We will do everything possible to ensure families return to their homes as soon as possible,» the mayor emphasized.
