As part of the Odesa Days in Venice, a grand concert took place at the renowned Teatro La Fenice — one of the most famous opera houses in the world. This event marked a significant step in cultural diplomacy between Ukraine and Italy, emphasizing the close ties between Odesa and Venice.
On stage, talented Odesa musicians performed: world-class violinist Georgiy Sokolov, pianist Anastasia Melnyk, and singer Anastasia Bukina. They presented an impressive and diverse program that combined classical pieces with contemporary interpretations. A highlight of the concert was the authentic Odesa songs. Their performance marked an emotional beginning to a series of events that will continue in Venice for several days.
Odesa's Mayor Gennady Trukhanov expressed gratitude to Venice's Mayor Luigi Brugnaro for his support and assistance in organizing this cultural event. Additionally, Ukrainian veterans are set to participate in the prestigious Venice regatta for the first time in history as part of the program.
