The capital of Moldova, Chișinău, is hosting a two-day closing event for the EU4Culture initiative – a European Union program aimed at supporting cultural development in Eastern Partnership countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.

The event features representatives from various cities, artists, and cultural sector specialists who have developed their strategies under the EU4Culture project. Participants actively exchanged experiences and discussed opportunities for building national and international partnerships.

"Odessa joined the project only in mid-2023, but within a year, we managed to achieve several significant milestones",

-  stated Ivan Liptuga, the director of the Department of Culture, International Cooperation, and Eurointegration of the Odessa City Council.

He spoke about the work on the "Odessa Cultural Development Strategy 2025-2035"  – a document that will serve as the foundation for the city's cultural sector development, as well as other important outputs:

- a guide on preserving Odessa's cultural heritage;

- a manual on organizing Odessa’s signage;

- visualization of Odessa's symbols – the creation of 3D models of the city's iconic symbols and more.

The strategic vision for cultural development in Odessa has been developed in collaboration with cultural actors, representatives of creative industries, and NGOs. This document will be presented for approval to the Odessa City Council.
