On March 30, 2025, the specialized youth sports school for climbing in Odesa celebrated its 20th anniversary.
This is the first and only climbing school in Odesa and Ukraine. Over its two decades of existence, the school has achieved high success due to the dedication of its coaches and athletes, attaining the status of an Olympic reserve specialized school.
Approximately 1,000 athletes have been trained, including multiple champions and medalists at world, European, and Ukrainian championships. Throughout its history, three athletes have attained the title of international class sports masters, while 21 have become national sports masters.
The celebration was attended by notable figures such as the Secretary of the Odesa City Council, Ihor Koval, and representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The school's director, Liubov Zymova, was awarded a letter of appreciation from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Prior to the celebration, participants could visit displays that showcased the school's journey over the past 20 years.
