On November 24, 2024, at 2:00 PM, the Municipal Museum of Personal Collections named after O.V. Bleschunov in Odessa will host the final tour of the exhibition «Revival».

The memorial exhibition «Revival» is dedicated to the memory of the Odessa painter and graphic artist Alexander Yosipovych Shkuripat (1964—2008).

The tour will be led by Eduard Ratushnyak — an Odessa journalist and admirer of the works of artist Alexander Shkuripat.

At the «Revival» exhibition in the Bleschunov House, there are paintings from the series: «Odessa and Its Surroundings», «Fish City», «My Ukraine», «The Abduction of Europe». Additionally, there are «home» works left by the master for himself and his family as reminders of the beginning of his creative journey. These rarities will be seen by the audience for the first time.

«Shkuripat found himself among the select few who decisively rejected socialist realism in painting and breathed new life into decorative folklore, predicting the informal interest in Ukrainian culture and history in Odessa, long before the current awakening, laying out a certain direction in the national art of generations of artists», — shares Eduard Ratushnyak.
