Since 1944, Vancouver (Canada) and Odessa have been fostering friendly ties that encourage the deepening of sister city relations and collaboration in various fields for the benefit of residents in both cities.
For instance, a correspondence initiative between students of Odessa Lyceum No. 2 and Queen Elizabeth School in Vancouver has been established to strengthen friendships among the children from both cities.
At the end of May, Vancouver will host Odessa Week, featuring thematic photo exhibitions, cultural events, performances by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, film screenings, and culinary activities.
In honor of Odessa Week, students from Odessa Lyceum No. 2 have prepared a video message for their peers.
The lyceum students have also written letters to their counterparts and created posters about Canada and Odessa.
