The extraordinary session of the Odesa City Council has decided to allocate funding to the Municipal Economy Department for technical inspections and urgent works in buildings damaged by enemy attacks.

Specifically, this concerns the building at 3 Oleksandra Kutuzakii Street, where the structure from the 5th to the 8th floor has been completely destroyed due to shelling, along with damaged load-bearing walls, staircases, and ceilings.

According to preliminary assessments by experts from the Odesa State Academy of Construction and Architecture, part of the building has been declared unsafe. All residents have been evacuated and offered temporary accommodation with relatives, friends, or in municipal facilities.

The building is being guarded around the clock to prevent accidents and loss of property.

Additional funding has also been allocated for the recovery of other affected facilities.

“We are working to act as quickly as possible within all procedures defined by law. We are in constant contact with the affected families and are doing everything to provide necessary assistance in a timely manner. I thank the council members for their quick response and support of this important decision,” said Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.

The decision was adopted unanimously.
