On January 30, 2025, the city stage of the XXIV All-Ukrainian student creativity contest 'Creating for the Future' took place in Odesa among students of grades 5-11 from general education institutions in the categories of 'Literature' and 'History of Ukraine'.

The epigraph for this year's works were the words of Taras Shevchenko: 'Our song will not die, will not perish…', and the theme was 'Creating for the Future'.

Sixty-three students from grades 6-11 of municipal educational institutions in Odesa participated in the contest.

The jury noted that all works were infused with patriotism and pride for Ukraine's heroic past and present. The authors revealed the processes of development and renewal of various aspects of national culture and their significance in the struggle for the independence of Ukraine.

Particular attention was given to the contributions of prominent regional artists and scholars to the cultural life of Ukraine.

In the 'History of Ukraine' category, the jury recognized the logical presentation of materials, the research nature of the works, and the participants' ability to work with historical sources. In the 'Literature' category, students provided diverse creative works (essays, poems, stories).

Based on the jury's decisions, the winners of the city stage of the XXIV All-Ukrainian student creativity contest were determined and awarded diplomas from the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council. Teachers who prepared the winners were also acknowledged with thanks.
