In Odesa and Izmail, law enforcement officers engaged future applicants by showcasing the various divisions of the police, discussing the benefits of serving in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and inviting them to join the National Police of Ukraine.
As part of an Open House event at a vocational college of one of Odesa's universities, forensic department staff from Odesa's police conducted a career guidance session for high school students. Forensic specialists demonstrated how they operate at crime scenes, showing the contents of forensic kits, tools for evidence collection, fingerprinting kits, and photo- and video-recording equipment.
Participants observed the fingerprint collection process and learned how traces are transferred to fingerprint cards for further expert analyses.
Police emphasized that the accuracy of collecting evidence is crucial for solving crimes.
«With modern forensic equipment, we can meticulously document every detail at the scene, which is essential for a fair investigation», — stated Major Tetyana Skyrtenko from Odesa's police department.
In Izmail, human resources inspectors met with students from the local academy. They discussed career opportunities within the National Police and introduced various roles such as detectives, patrol officers, and other services where everyone can find their calling.
«We invite motivated, honest, and energetic young individuals, ready to face today’s challenges, to join the ranks of the National Police of Ukraine», — emphasized Senior Inspector Tetyana Artemenko-Holod.
Such meetings are regularly held as they help youth gain a deeper understanding of police work and recognize the importance of the profession, aiding them in making informed career choices.
