Representatives of the NGO «Barrier-Free» spent a week visiting municipal secondary education institutions in Odesa, conducting a series of events on the topic of “Accessibility”.
The meetings aimed to raise students' awareness about the importance of accessibility and to foster a tolerant attitude towards individuals with disabilities.
During the events, students were told that accessibility is an essential part of a society where everyone should feel comfortable, regardless of gender, age, physical or other differences, and where equal rights and opportunities are guaranteed for all.
The activities included interactive lectures, workshops, and role-playing games that helped participants understand the barriers faced by individuals with disabilities and learn how to interact effectively with them.
Additionally, the guests shared information about initiatives that have already been implemented in our city to improve conditions for people with disabilities.
The events were aimed at fostering sensitivity, compassion, humanity, tolerance, mutual respect, and social responsibility among students.
