A delegation from the United Nations, including representatives from the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), is currently visiting Odesa.

This visit has been organized by UNDP in Ukraine in collaboration with UNOPS and UNFPA.

During their working visit, the delegation toured various projects being implemented with UN support.

The mayor expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to Odesa, particularly in the renovation of one of the wards at Hospital No. 8.

Gennady Trukhanov noted that the facility is a regular hospital and does not provide emergency services. However, many lives have already been saved here, as victims from hostile attacks requiring urgent medical care were brought in. This was made possible thanks to the highly qualified staff and state-of-the-art equipment.

The participants also discussed further collaboration, including attracting international investments for infrastructure projects such as the renovation of sewage systems and the construction of housing for internally displaced persons.
