April 3 at the UNION Cultural Center hosted the III Regional Conference «Odessa. Cultural Innovation», dedicated to World Autism Awareness Day. The event was organized with the support of the Odessa City Council and cultural partners.
Among the participants was Ivanna Demirova, a teacher from the Bolhrad Music School and co-author of the textbook «Inclusive Environment» — a collection of pedagogical practices, reported Rayon.Bolhrad.

Conference in the Context of the Year of Accessibility
2025 has been declared the year of ACCESSIBLE SPACE in Ukraine, and the conference «Culture Without Barriers» was a significant step in this initiative. The goal was to create an accessible cultural space and implement inclusive solutions for children with special educational needs.
Participants discussed a wide range of issues:

principles of physical, digital, and educational accessibility;

access to cultural services for people with disabilities;

socialization and artistic education for children with special needs;

mental health of children and youth during wartime;

methodological work of cultural institutions.
An exhibition of ceramic works from the inclusive workshop also took place, showcasing art as a tool for inclusion and self-expression.
