Doctors at the City Clinical Hospital No. 10 in Odesa carried out an extraordinary surgical procedure, successfully addressing both an acute stroke and a pulmonary embolism.

The patient, a woman from Odesa, was admitted to the hospital with a severe case of stroke. During a CT scan, doctors discovered a blockage in the middle cerebral artery.

Moreover, specialists observed that the patient had difficulty breathing, prompting additional lung examinations. The diagnosis was further complicated by a pulmonary embolism.

A multidisciplinary medical team made a challenging yet crucial decision to perform simultaneous thrombectomy on both the cerebral and pulmonary arteries.

The surgery was successful. Currently, the patient feels significantly better: she is conscious and can already move her limbs.

Modern medical technologies implemented at Hospital No. 10, along with the high professionalism of specialists who continually enhance their knowledge, save lives and preserve the health of patients.
