A temporary outage in mobile applications has occurred in Kyiv due to technical updates at one of the large data centers, as reported by "DiiA".

Source: "DiiA", Kyiv City State Administration, head of "Monobank" Oleg Gorokhovsky

Details: Users on social media report issues with apps including "Nova Poshta", "DiiA", "Kyiv Digital", and others.

Gorokhovsky speculated that this might be a result of a hacker attack on a major data center.

Kyiv City State Administration noted that due to technical issues in "Oschadbank", contactless payment for metro rides is unavailable.

Currently, payment for rides can be made:

  • using a transport card;
  • with a QR code generated in the Kyiv Digital app;
  • using a paper QR ticket.

Updated: It was later revealed that the problem was not caused by a cyberattack, but rather due to a power outage during scheduled work at the De Novo data center.
