Detecting cancer at an early stage can save lives. Timely diagnosis significantly increases the chances of recovery. The National Health Service of Ukraine offers free preventive screenings for all citizens.

The main focus of early diagnosis includes free cancer screening services, which consist of six primary packages:

  • mammography – X-ray examination of the breasts;
  • hysteroscopy – examination of the uterus to identify pathologies;
  • esophagogastroduodenoscopy – study of the esophagus and stomach;
  • colonoscopy – examination of the colon;
  • cystoscopy – examination of the bladder;
  • bronchoscopy – examination of the airways.

Citizens, including internally displaced persons, can access these services in medical institutions that have contracts with the NHS. To receive an examination, an electronic referral from a doctor is required.

Patient age is also a criterion for undergoing screenings: from 40 years for mammography and colonoscopy, and from 50 years for other procedures.

Additionally, anesthesia options, consultations, and results documentation are available. Complete information about the examinations can be found on the NHS website at the following link: https://cutt.ly/ieIPVARP.
