As the prolonged rain began in Odesa, special equipment from the Municipal Enterprise «City Roads» was quickly dispatched to address possible flooding on the city's streets.
Currently, the streets are passable. However, parts of 5th St. V. Fontana and Yarmarok Street are partially flooded. In total, 344 specialists from the enterprise and 46 units of special equipment are working on the streets.
During prolonged rain, such as today, special machines for water pumping, including a high-pressure hydrodynamic installation based on a MAN truck, traditionally stand by on the streets: Balkivska, Prymorska, Yevhen Chykalenka, Heavenly Hundred, on French Boulevard, and Customs Square, where flooding typically occurs during heavy rain.
Additionally, employees of the Municipal Enterprise «City Roads» are on the streets, using excavators with special attachments or manual methods to quickly clear storm drains and manholes of debris, branches, and leaves that are washed into them by rainwater flows.
