Last week, a mental health awareness event for adults and children took place in Odesa.
This initiative was organized in honor of World Mental Health Day with the support of the Odesa City Council's Department of Health and the local health center.
During the event, family doctors, pediatricians, therapists, and psychologists engaged with adult patients and parents, emphasizing the importance of mental health care and offering advice on maintaining it.
If necessary, doctors referred patients to psychologists available in Odesa's healthcare facilities as part of the nationwide mental health program "How are you?" for free psychological assistance.
As a result of the campaign, over 550 residents received consultations, including about 450 adults and more than 100 children. Additionally, psychologists provided 115 consultations.
To reach a broader audience, outreach activities were held in parks and other open spaces, where attendees could receive advice and participate in workshops and games.
Overall, around 500 people participated in these activities, including over 150 children.
