U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a significant meeting in Rome on Saturday, which sources described as highly productive.

According to information provided by a White House representative, the meeting did take place, but details were not disclosed. The Office of the President of Ukraine stated that the discussion lasted about 15 minutes.

This meeting was the first following a tense exchange in Washington in February and occurred at a critical moment for peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.

Stephen Chung, the White House communications director, stated: "President Trump and President Zelensky had a productive discussion today, and more details will be provided later."

Trump emphasized the importance of reaching an agreement, noting that his representatives had productive talks with Russian leaders and called for a high-level meeting between Kyiv and Moscow.

Earlier, it was reported that the Trump administration handed Ukraine a document outlining a peace resolution proposal, which included potential acknowledgment of Russia's control over Crimea and easing sanctions.

On April 24, President Zelensky mentioned that the U.S. presented its strategy regarding Ukrainian territories during negotiations in London, but subsequently, another document emerged.
